I keep this chalet the way I would want to find it: clean, stocked and ready the moment you walk in. Beds are made, towels and starter supplies are out, and the fire pit is set for your first evening.

The community and the area.

Indian Mountain Lake is a gated community with round-the-clock security patrols, so the roads stay quiet and the lots stay wooded. Inside the community there are five lakes and two sandy beaches for fishing and swimming, two outdoor pools plus a kiddie pool through the summer, playgrounds, four tennis courts and two basketball courts. Hickory Run State Park is a short drive away for hiking, and the Jack Frost and Big Boulder ski areas are close enough to make winter weekends easy. It is the rare spot that genuinely works in all four seasons.

We were actually his first guests, and he truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. He was very attentive, responsive, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived.

The house was exactly as described, very clean, well-maintained, and spacious. You can tell he put a lot of effort into preparing everything. There was coffee available, and the kitchen had all the essentials we needed to cook, which made our stay even more convenient.
