Hickory Run State Park is the near one, with a waterfall and a field of boulders. Jim Thorpe has the river trail.
- Hawk Falls

- Boulder Field
- About 40 minSixteen acres of bare boulders left by the last ice age, a National Natural Landmark. You can drive to it on the park road or hike in from Hawk Falls. Website
- Lehigh Gorge rail trail
- About 35 minFlat riverside cycling out of Jim Thorpe. In summer the Bike Train carries you and your bike upriver so you can ride back down. Website
- Big Pocono summit
- About 30 minA drive-up summit at the top of Camelback with views over three states. Website
- Bushkill Falls
- About 50 minEight waterfalls on boardwalk trails. The furthest thing on this page, and the one worth the drive. Website
